Terms and Conditions
- 1. Contract
- You may book by email, telephone or post. A binding contract comes
into existence when the holiday booking has been confirmed either by
post or email to you. By signing the booking form you accept full
responsibility for all payments due and for the consequences and
actions of all persons who will use the property during your holiday.
The Hirer shall have the right to occupy and use Penlan Fach for the
agreed period.
- 2. Rental
- The accommodation is
designed and equipped for family-type holidays and is not suitable for
youth groups, nor will it accommodate more than the stated number of
beds. Only persons listed on the booking form are allowed to sleep in
the accommodation. Penlan Fach is ideally suited for two people but
could accommodate two other adults.
- 3. Price Guarantee
- All prices quoted on the web page are
subject to change, and we reserve the right to correct and amend errors
in advertised prices, which we will do as soon as we become aware of
the error. Please check the price of your holiday at time of booking.
Once a holiday has been booked we guarantee not to increase the cost of
the accommodation.
- 4. Provisional Bookings
- Upon receipt of your request to book by
post, email or telephone, Penlan Fach can be provisionally booked. This
will be held for a period of fourteen days only. If no booking form and
deposit are received within this period, then the provisional booking
will be cancelled.
- 5. Payment
- In order to confirm your holiday a payment of
25% (or full payment if the booking is made less than 8 weeks before
the departure date) must be paid at time of booking. Once a contract
comes into existence (see 1) you have agreed to pay the total cost of
the holiday. We must receive the balance not less than 8 weeks before
commencement of the holiday together with the security deposit of £100,
(see security deposit below) If we do not receive the total cost by the
due date, we reserve the right to cancel the booking. In this case,
cancellation charges may apply (see 8)
- 6. Security Deposit
- The security deposit will be £100.
This deposit will form part of the final payment and will be held by
the owner for a period of two weeks after the end of the holiday. We
reserve the right to deduct any losses, breakages or damage caused to
the property during your stay. If there is damage or costs that exceed
the amount of the security deposit, you will be responsible to
reimburse us within fourteen days of being notified of the excess
charge.
- 7. Holiday Insurance
- It is your responsibility to obtain your own travel insurance.
- 8. Cancellation by you
- In the unlikely event of your
being forced to cancel your holiday, in full or in part, you should
inform us immediately by telephone or email, and confirm this in
writing by post. You remain responsible for the total cancellation
charges of the booking. A cancellation will take effect from the date
that the letter is received by the owner.

In all cases the breakages deposit will be returned. The owner advises
guests to arrange cancellation insurance with the insurer of their
choice.
- 9. Cancellation by us
- If we have no
option but to cancel your booking, we reserve the right to do so. We
will endeavour not to cancel unless we have not received full payment
with in the required time, or we are forced to do so due to
circumstances beyond our control. If it is necessary to cancel your
holiday for any other reason other than that of non-payment by you, we
will make a full refund of all monies paid. No other compensation will
be paid. Nor will liability be accepted.
- 10. Numbers of People Accepted at Holiday Accommodation

The owners of the property or their representative retain the right to
refuse admission to more than four persons. Similarly the owners of the
property or their representative retain the right to refuse mobile
accommodation on any part of the garden or land connected to the
property.
- 11. Occupancy Times
- Bookings are
from Saturday to Saturday and guests are requested to arrive between
3.30pm and 6pm on the day of arrival, and to leave by 10am on the day
of departure. Other times by previous arrangement only.
- 12. Access
- The
Hirer shall permit the owner or their representative the right of entry
to the property at all reasonable times for the purpose of inspection
or to carry out repairs deemed necessary to the property or equipment.
- 13. Included in the Let
- Heating:
Penlan Fach has its own wood burner. Cut logs are provided. Coal will
be charged as used. There is also an oil-filled radiator if needed.
- Electricity:
Included in the tariff are 20 units of electricity per week, which
should be enough for normal consumption. Should you exceed this
allowance the excess will be charged at the current unit cost.
- Linen:
All bed linen i.e. sheets, duvet covers, pillow cases, non-feather
duvets and pillows, towels, tea towels and bathmats are provided.
- Standard
Equipment: Includes video/dvd player, microwave, full size cooker,
kettle, toaster, fridge/freezer, washing machine, vacuum cleaner,
ironing board and iron. There is also an outdoor table, chairs and
parasol.
- Water:
Penlan Fach has its own supply of spring water which is tested
regularly in accordance with all statutory requirements. However,
bottled water can be bought from the owner if required, priced at cost.
- 14.Smoking
- Smoking
is not allowed in Penlan Fach. If this condition is breached, the owner
will hold the hirer responsible and reserves the right to retain the
£100 deposit and deduct any professional cleaning costs incurred.
- 15. Pets
- Sorry,
we regret no pets are allowed. If this condition is breached, the owner
will hold the hirer responsible and reserves the right to retain the
£100 deposit and deduct any professional cleaning costs incurred.
- 16. Vehicles and Personal Belongings
- Visitors’
vehicles, baggage and personal belongings are at the hirer’s risk at
all times, and no responsibility can be accepted for loss of or damage
to any vehicle, its contents or other personal belongings.
- 17. Your Responsibilities
- For
the duration of your holiday you are responsible for the property.
Guests are asked to leave the accommodation clean and tidy when
vacating. The £100 deposit will be refunded within 14 days of departure
after inspection of the premises and subject to any deductions deemed
necessary. Guests are asked to abide by the country codes, when out
walking at the property and surrounding area.
- 18. Complaints
- If
you have any cause for complaint during your stay at Penlan Fach,
please notify the owner or their representative who will make all
reasonable efforts to assist and resolve the issue. The owner will not
usually make any refund or recompense in respect of a complaint made
after departure, if the complaint was not made known to the owner
during the holiday rental period.
- 19. Termination of Agreement
- The
owner reserves the right to terminate this Agreement and to ask you and
your guests to leave immediately if this is deemed necessary by the
owner as a result of your behaviour or that of your guests or any other
material breach by you of the terms of this agreement.
- 20. Website
- The
website is constantly being upgraded, altered and amended. Therefore it
is possible that prices and information may have changed by the time
you decide to book a holiday. It is essential that at the time of
booking you check all details and verify all prices of accommodation.
Information given on the web site about facilities and local
attractions is intended solely as a guide and we are unable to accept
any liability for these being unavailable during your holiday period.
