Location and Directions
Penlan Fach is about 5 miles north of Rhayader, which is in the middle of Wales where the A470 crosses the A44.
Birmingham is some 2¼ hrs away, London 4¼ hrs and Liverpool 3¼ hrs.
The nearest rail stations are at Caersws, (20 minutes drive away towards Newtown) and Llandrindod Wells (25 minutes drive).
Directions
from Rhayader:
Take the B4518 north.
After some 5 miles, at Pant-y-Dwr,
turn left shortly before leaving the
village and just before a bus shelter.
Follow this road for 1.8 miles to a
red-brick house on the left. Turn left
up the stone track. Penlan
and Penlan Fach are at the top of
the track - turn in to your right
at the gateway.
